Destroying beauty
I have always been what people now denominate a treehugger. So if you are looking for something related to destroying MORE trees, this is not the place.
I originally lived in Cuba, but went to an American school where I learned all the efforts we should do for protecting our planet. So it distressed me very much when in that country, they would cut down tree after tree, for no reason at all.
When I came to live in EEUU, I was almost confident I would not have to face anything like it again. Yet, here I am, living in Miami where they follow the same indiscriminate felling of trees.
The condominium where I live used to have lots of trees and naturally, shade. They are mostly gone. No reason given, but I suppose the leaves bother the management, or perhaps they are among those that, due to something I cannot fathom, hate plants.
So even though I now live in this country that has been a leader on conservationism, the destruction of nature is still hurting me. Sad.
